Chris Starrs
Chris Starrs has more than 36 years’ experience in journalism and communications.
He worked in weekly, evening, and daily newspapers in the north of England and Scotland and led corporate communication teams at Strathclyde Police and Glasgow City Council. He then spent eight years as head of corporate communications at Police Scotland, advising three chief constables and transforming the department into a modern, professional comms team that has won dozens of awards.
He retired in June 2025.
