Executive Presence on LinkedIn: Strategy for lasting impact
Intermediate
Summary
LinkedIn has 1.1 billion users across more than 200 countries and regions and is consistently ranked as the most trusted social media platform. It has become the go-to space for B2B influence, with more senior leaders than ever using it to shape their visibility and voice. In the UK alone, the number of C-Suite professionals on LinkedIn has risen by 30% in the past five years, and globally leaders’ posts generate four times the engagement of the average update. With the platform’s algorithm now prioritising individual voices over Company Pages, executive communications on LinkedIn have become a critical lever for building credibility and strengthening corporate reputation.
In today’s integrated communications environment, social media is no longer optional for leaders. Stakeholders increasingly expect executives to be visible online, using LinkedIn as a space to demonstrate authority, values and thought leadership. Done well, this builds trust and deepens engagement across audiences. Done poorly, it exposes leaders to reputational risk and leaves space for competitors to define the conversation.
This course equips attendees to create and deliver a cohesive LinkedIn strategy for senior leaders, from auditing current presence and performance, to developing strategies that align with business priorities, through to measuring impact in ways that demonstrate lasting value.
